ILRUN, also known as interleukin-like RUN domain-containing protein, is a recently discovered protein that plays a role in immune regulation. Positioned within the cytoplasm, ILRUN contains a RUN domain, which facilitates protein-protein interactions. Although its exact function is still being studied, ILRUN is believed to modulate immune responses, potentially affecting cytokine production, immune cell activation, and inflammatory processes. It has also been suggested as a potential biomarker for certain immune-related or inflammatory conditions.
